Okay, finally I can get to say a word or two about your lovely Risa-chan. ^^
It actually won't be very hard, because a lot of what I loved about your Akane picture applies here too -- in fact, the symmetry between the two pictures is so perfect, I can say that the two together make the best giant wallpaper I've ever had in my two-panel work computer. ^__^b
First off, a small admission... I do love the Akane wallpaper the best. It's a combination of there being more stuff in there to appreciate (her hair) and also that I like the character Akane-chan quite a bit (cause she's taller). ^.^'
But this is just comparing between the two -- in terms of art quality, they are both equally superb. True, I did have some problems with the face initially, but the fact that you were able to work with me to fix it is a great thing in itself because it proves you're a good team player. ^^b I've had insecure artists who, at the first sign of discontent from me no matter how kindly I put it, will still lift up their arms, give up and walk away, as if they honestly thought everything they touched was perfect. But ironically, even though you draw 10x better tha them, you never once complained or felt threatened. Instead, you were able to collaborate with me and my proposal to fit it in into your Risa-chan while still remaining faithful to your style, And not only did this make me happy as a customer, but int eh end it worked wonders for Risa-chan as well.
After work while I was waiting for the machine to shut down, I gave a long hard look at both Akane and Risa for several minutes -- and the more I see Risa-chan, the cuter and lovelier she seems to get. And I owe it all to you -- a person who's proven to be not only a great artist, but also a great person. ^__^
Thank you for the visual treat that is Risa-chan, the use of Seotch-san's great take on Tux-kun, the clever text background with well-researched logos, the very complete credit list and description. Thank you for providing the source files, and very thoughtfully for both Photoshop and GIMP users, ensuring your masterpiece can be opened by nearly anyone who has a computer.
And above all, thank you for freeing your masterpiece through use of the CC license and the provided sources, and thus setting the best possible example for the spirit of sharing and collaboration embodied by Ubuntu. Not only do I see it as a sign of a very passionate and confident artist, but as I said before an artist becomes truly great when she spreads that same love for art that inspires her to others. Its a great way to achieve immortality as an artist, and I will certainly do my part to preserve your source files forever, as well as spread your name and your works far and wide! ^v^
I work with many children as well, so I can guarantee that they will love and cherish your artwork too! ^^b
Well I help repair computers, either as part of house calls or to refurbish them to give to families who don't have a computer. Some of these families have kids, and when I'm not teaching them about Ubuntu and computers or playing games, sometimes they also ask me to teach them how to draw.
So I do that a lot, showing them how I draw [with Inkscape] or using other tools like GIMP or Kolourpaint. They go from thinking they can't draw, to practically drawing everywhere and anything, lol. ^___^
And they like Ubunchu too, so a big reason for doing all these commissions is to give them more wallpapers to enjoy, since I'm too slow to do so many on my own.
So in addition to making me happy, I want to thank you too for making my young "customers" happy. ^__^b
ah~ I see ^^ you really cares about kids too ^^ sometimes I also teach my neighbor kids and my little nephew how to draw in traditional art, even they are still thinking can't draw, but when they find out how to draw fruits and flowers in simple way, they really happy and proud of it, but when drawing person, they chasing me ^^"

Since people can be hard, I just get them used to drawing in chibi form which they love (I wish I can post pictures...).
Especially in super cute simple style like this:

That way they have tons of fun doing little comic-strip like drawings, and I only have to stick around for small edits and special effects. ^^b
even it's just simple, but it's really cute and funny
nyoron~
